too hot to sew, too hot to post, too hot for emails, too hot for thinking = studio closed for the day! ollie and i have been hanging in the one ac'd room of our flat most of the day. finally, the sun is no longer overhead...time for a swim! SPLASH!

it feels like june is sailing by...so much to fill the days. here's a little peek at what's on the decks for july. but i don't want to get ahead of myself! i want to send out a great big thank you to everyone who picked a little something out of the shop last week. you made me smile so wide! also, another big thank you to holly and caroline for their kind words about june} pretty little. what sweet ladies you are!
i've really loved coming up with something new these past two months, it keeps me on my toes. i love the whole process of planning, collecting, making, and release! so gratifying. it's a great way to learn more about yourself at an accelerrated pace. i'm really enjoying planning out july's collection {it's in the incubation stage right now}. so much fun!
i should be off, but i can't leave without mentioning that second storie} indie market is now accepting applications for vendors {the deadline is july 15th}! you can find the app here. our website is in the works and will be up and running very soon! it would be so terrific to see some of the bright and shining faces of craftwonderland there. how cool it would be to meet some familiar faces in person. it would be a great time, to be sure!
a few weeks back i had asked the question what do you do when you want to bring all the beauty and inspiration of this great big craftwonderland out of cyberspace and into town? or course, i'm not the first person to ask this question. and there have been some brilliant answers: renegade, art star craft bazaar, and art vs. craft to name a few. my little town has lots of craft fairs, but none that represent the current surge of new ideas going on in the art + craft community...until now! second storie} indie market is calling all artists + crafters! visit our blog here!

used to be, i was strictly a fall loving girl. i've come to love june since moving to the northeast. spring is truly here {none of the false hope sort of days april brings}, a touch of summer shows it's smiling face {without the humidity of july}, and life just seems to generaly open up and shine real bright.
i had a great time working on this month's new line June} pretty little. i'll let you read more about it over at the shop, but let me say i've nearly burned a whole in a certain cd! how can one song bring such inspiration every day of a life?
now on to my reform school order!
it's 12am, time for some rest...more on second storie in the afternoon...i'll also be answering all my emails in the a.m. everything is finally up and running! so if you've been waiting to hear from me expect something in your inbox soon!
