A while back I posted these two photos over at flickr. I've been working on the marketing committee for the South Wedge Farmers' Market for the last few months, developing a campaign for the 2009 season. It has been great fun, and a real honor to work with friends on a project that, for me, holds so much heart. Taking a huge cue and a lot of inspiration from Lena Corwin, we threw a portrait party to kick off the new season! I thought it would be a great way to show appreciation for all of the wonderful people who make the market what it is as well as stress that a farmers' market really is about community. I could write a long and heartfelt list of reasons why this is so, but it's already been so eloquently said by many. So, I'll just leave you with these photos, and a question: What do you love most about your farmers' market?
