Hello, hello.
Do you ever feel full of the potential to be inspired, but not quite inspired? I felt that way yesterday.
I gathered some rhubarb from the garden, I want to make rhubarb soda but I haven't decided what else I'd like to try. There are so many good recipes around blogland right now. I picked the first peonies of the season too, oh man they smell good. I wonder about who it was that planted the plot of rhubarb, just how far back could this rhubarb go?
I am enjoying reading again, even if it is just a few minutes squeezed in at the end of the day. I forgot how much pleasure can come from a good book, do you forget things like that, things you love to do but don't? There's really no good reason for leaving reading in the dust. Same goes for flying kites. I want to be sure to fly a kite this summer. I used to love to, back when I lived in California. The two handle kinds are so much fun, aren't they? If I go too long without mentioning it will you remind me?
Sometimes I think being busy and the variety that comes with freelance work is the best thing on earth, other times I wish I was Robert Redford in The Horse Whisperer, living the days out in a rhythm. Though every life is unpredictable in one way or another.
I have some letters to write, I'm looking forward to that. And the best thing about this month is that I only have four projects left to cross off a list I've been carrying around for a very, very long time. That's gonna feel good. What are you looking forward to most this month?
Sending warm rays your way,
Shanna
