Hello, long lost pals. I hope you've all been very well this month. I didn't intend to be away from here so long, but life has been full these past weeks. Yesterday marked the end of a visit that, for me, was the perfect medicine for a heart that was trying to feel a little less heavy. The time I spent with Betsy, working on our calendar, was magic. We tucked in at a little retreat on my dear friend's stunning property to read, to dream, to share and to make. It was heaven.
On Monday we'll share with you the result of our time together. We really can't wait! For now, I've got loads to do in preparation for Little Winter next weekend. Lots of new things are in the works over here. I'm eager to give you a peek and will do next week, before I head back west. I hope you'll love all I've been working on as much as I do, friends.
I can't tell you how perfect it's been, coming home to this gorgeous, glorious season. It's as if the universe heard me crying out, "let me see the leaves!" Or maybe my grandfather heard my heart's plea and, in his way, sent me home to them. Some days I am convinced of this. He knew so well how much they mean to me. I miss my grandfather every day, but I see him everywhere. Even when I close my eyes.
