Happy June, pals!
I have to keep it short and sweet this morning, have to dash out for a meeting. I couldn't leave without sharing the new June calendars with you, though! I'm super excited to have the chance to collaborate for the second time with my dear friend, Abby Powell Thompson of Abby Try Again.
Even before Abby sent over these beautiful summery photos, I'd had in mind to use the lyrics from my favorite song by the Innocence Mission. Somehow, serendipitously, the verses worked out perfectly with what Abby sent over. I had a tough time choosing between the two verses and images, so I decided to do something new and offer two totally different calendars. A sort of bonus if you tire of one mid-way through the month, yes?
The lyrics for this song speak to me in a way I can't describe. I have such vivid imagery that loops in my mind when I listen to it - I could create an entire movie around When Mac Was Swimming, I think. Here's the lyrics below. Hope you'll love the calendar, friends! The large and small versions of both calendars are HERE.
Friday I'll have something fun to share, stay tuned! xoxo, S
When Mac Was Swimming
When Mac was swimming I was running late,
walking around New Orleans looking for a birthday cake.
It was a great surprise to him so many people came.
Nobody knows, darling.
Nobody knows how they are loved.
Don't worry, my darling, the sun's coming up.
Let's get up early now, dive clear into the day.
Let's get out of the car with open arms,
not wait to be embraced.
The flowers that grew, the things that happened
since the day you came.
Nobody knows, darling.Nobody knows how they are loved.
Don't worry, my darling, the sun's coming up.
