Decal Finds a Home: the Marchand twins' room

a bit of news: FELIZ!

Have you heard about FELIZ? 
Feliz will be a celebration of handmade, beautifully planned and hosted by Abby Powell Thompson and Natalie Davis in Austin, this November. I'm over the moon that I'll be participating, and so excited to meet all the truly inspiring makers that will be there. Two winters ago, I traveled to Portland to participate in another of Abby's events, and if her latest endeavor is even a fraction of the fun Little Winter was, Feliz will be nothing short of magic. I can't wait! For those of you within a day's trip of Austin, or even beyond, I hope you'll join us - and say hello!

In addition to selling wares, some folks will be giving workshops the day before the sale, I'm so happy & honored to be included in the line up, there are some seriously amazing workshops planned. I only wish I could attend, too! I love that Abby and Natalie wanted to provide an opportunity for makers to spend more time sharing what they love with folks attending the event. Getting out of the studio, getting to talk about what I love, share a project, make new friends - it's a dream come true, and definitely what I'm looking forward to most!

My workshop is centered around creating a keepsake. Each participant will be given their own giant, gorgeous shadowbox to display either a cherished photo, or favorite quote (or even a bit of both) along with a decal of their choosing. Folks will have the option to have their captions and quotes hand lettered by me at the workshop, or do their own lettering, if they wish.

I've created several of these keepsakes, for friends, clients and myself, and I always love the results. It's a fun and heartfelt project, and makes for a beautiful holiday gift (for yourself or a loved one). Decal Finds a Home: Tamera's bedroom

It was a delightful surprise, as a regular reader of Tamera's blog, to find the Ribboned Half Garland had made its way into her home via one of my favorite stockists, Clementine. I just love how quietly it sits there, above the bed. There's only a few more days this decal will be available. If you love it, it's time to scoop it up! 

A quick note: I've reopened the shop a bit early. Lots of kind requests came in last week asking if it would be possible to have one last chance to purchase designs that will soon be retired. How could I say no? An email went out to my mailing list with all the details, but if you're not on the list you can read it here.

Pause

Today is the day in between what I have made and what I will make. Taking some time today to quiet down, before I tuck into my sketchbook tomorrow. I rather like this quote by Louise Hay, have you heard it? "Every thought we think is creating our future."
